The Gmail Integration is therefore primarily a user workspace, while EAC is primarily a capture and synchronization layer. No. Salesforce Gmail Integration can be configured without requiring every organization to use Einstein Activity Capture. Yes. Event synchronization with connected Google accounts is one of the core uses of Einstein Activity Capture. The organization should still decide which system employees normally use to create and edit meetings because a technically successful synchronization does not replace a clear scheduling process.
Does Einstein Activity Capture sync Google Contacts?
Yes, when contact synchronization is enabled and the applicable requirements are satisfied. Salesforce currently uses a Salesforce Sync label in relevant Google Contact configurations to identify contacts that are eligible for synchronization. Test this with a small group first so personal or incomplete contacts do not become unnecessary CRM records.
