Can I make my backyard completely mosquito-free?
Complete elimination is not a realistic target for many open residential properties, especially where mosquitoes can arrive from surrounding habitat. A better goal is to reduce breeding you control and make the parts of the backyard people actually use comfortable enough that repeated bites no longer drive everyone indoors. Successful mosquito control should be judged by improved outdoor use, not by whether an occasional mosquito can still be found.
