Visceral fat: Three foods to include in your diet that could help burn the belly fat

When it comes to fat loss, steering away from certain foods can help. Certain foods could also speed up the fat burning process. According to experts, eating the following foods could help burn visceral fat.
OatsOats contain high levels of dietary fibre which is highly resistant to digestive enzymes.
This in turn means the body does not process it as caloric intake.
The high fibre content in oats increases satiety which reduces unnecessary overeating.
Oatmeal is a nutritious source of plant-based protein, healthy fats and essential vitamins and minerals; therefore it is viewed as a healthy food that imparts nutritional benefits for those who make it a part of their daily diet.

Researchers from the University of North Carolina wanted to know if the consumption of fibre had an impact on visceral fat levels.
They found that an increase in fibre intake had a profound effect on increasing levels of visceral fat.
Fibre-rich foods like oatmeal help a person to avoid the hunger in several ways.
Firstly, such foods generally take longer to eat than low-fibre foods, which make you eat slowly enough that your body has time to notice when it is full.
Secondly, fibre absorbs moisture, which can help you feel full longer, occupying more room in your stomach and taking longer to digest.
This effect increases if you drink plenty of water with your meal.
Thirdly, oats, in particular, have fewer calories per serving than many low-fibre alternatives.
Yoghurt is rich in protein, with the non-fat option containing around 10 grams per cup.
But Greek non-fat yoghurt contains even more, offering 20 to 23 grams.
Protein has a complex chemical structure, so the body breaks it down slowly.
Slow stomach emptying makes you feel full for longer, which can help you control your calorie intake and lose belly fat, according to Harvard Health T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
High protein intake is also associated with a lower BMI, smaller waist circumference and “good” cholesterol levels.
Apples are packed with healthy flavonoids and fibres which help contribute to burning belly fat.
They are particularly rich in pectin fibre that breaks down slowly.
Fibres present in apples also promote satiety meaning a person will feel fuller for longer.
Apples are also very low in calories and sugar content, which makes them an ideal bet for belly fat loss.
